Ident s/w ver? Can I up grade?

Hi Folks

I have 2 questions:

1) I've a very old 9210! I want to know how to identify the s/w version?

2) Taking into account the age of the phone can the software be fully updated or have hardware changes also taken place?

I don't know about the first question as I'm not quite sure what it means.
As for the second question I dont believe that you can up grade because the 9210i has a bigger memory capacity on the phone and holds some diffrent types of software.

1. Here is attached usefull nokia codes files.

*#06# for checking the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity)
*#0000# shows the SW version.

Latest software version:
V4.13 is the latest for 9210
V6.00 is the latest for 9210i

2. you can upgrade your s/w to the v4.13 (the latest for 9210) and the memory card to 128MB (this is a have to upgrade hardware to enjoy the many apps here:) )

Well my s/w version is v03.13 29-05-01 RAE-3

Haven't even found any info. on a version that old!

OK So this can be upgraded to Version v04.13 right?

So to do this I connect it to my pc via an M-bus cables?

What software and files do i need to do this?

Also I have a cable which I think was meant to be F-bus but never managed to get it working as wanted to use my phone as a modem for my PC. Looking at the pins on the connector tho. it looks like it has pins for both f-bus and m-bus. Not sure if anyone can help me at to whether this one will do! It was supplied by trendy phones and is marked up as RTM60302 12084415

As far as I know the firmware versions are v3.18, v3.54, v3.62 or v4.13 but yours is v3.13. :confused:
very old indeed :)
if u want to upgrade the firmware u need griffin box hardware and cable, and 4.13 firmware...it's not cheap better go to service center and pay around US$ 10... and everything is safe and allright.
search on this forum, there were many threads discussed about upgrading the firmware...
