Nokia 3310 not getting reception

I have a 3310, use to be in a shell with a broken antenna, it sometimes worked when you pressed the antenna to the phone..

I bought a 3315, ripped out the electrical and put the 3310 board into the shell with antenna.

It still does not get reception. I have not tried any other simcards.

What could be the problem?

I have run eeprom tools, run test, set default sp locks, and repaired eeprom, and now it always displays SIM Card not accepted when you turn on the phone...

EDIT: This is fixed now with rolis. All ok, though i still have no reception.

Use Knok95
Quickset FAID, Reset User interface settings, Reset Full Factory Settings, Reset SP Locks, Set new IMEI, Use original IMEI, Quickset faid! In that order!;)

I dont have a flasher cable, and i knok will never detect my phones.

Rolis does though, should i try it on that ?

You need a Mbus cable to do what chunkhead said....

Ok, that is all done, my IMEI is now all 00000's, and i cant change it back to the original because its 1 number more then knok allowed to be typed in.

I still have no reception.

The last number will be calculated automatikly so just type the original IMEI /on the back on Your phone under the battery/ and dont forget to reser FAID...

I've worked out the IMEI thing and repeated the steps.

It still wont get reception..

It is getting closer to a hardware falt...may be the PA or antenna switch is broken .... sorry to say that..if You are good in electronics change PA...Isuggest You to run Eeprom tools and after click on the mignifiing glass klick test..post results I hope this will give Us a point to start...

Seems every thing is ok....try this: get the hot air blower apply some flux over the CCONT/You will find it easy/ and rehaet it for approx. 15 sec. , leave the board to get cool clear the flux very good..than try the result..if that dont help try the same procedure with PA...

Sorry for my english i mean a SMD rework soldering starion.....I think Youur problem is in the RF part..PA or antena switch...Try find noctek he is Nokia trained engeneer may be he can give a suggestion.
