can any one tell me how to copy the sms from the communicator to memory card or the sim card cauze i want to format my communicator plz help me and reply me soon

If you open the message-application and check the menu. There's a menu item called 'settings' or 'options' (don't know since I'm using a Dutch version). One of the options is to set the location of the messages (including SMS). Set this to memory card and if no message store is present on the MMC all messages will be copied to the MMC.

... or you can do this .
Connect your phone to the pc using the standard cable (DLR-2L).
Use windows explorer doing these:

1. C:\System\Data\smssegst.dat,
2. C:\System\Data\smsreast.dat,
3. C:\System\Data\Cdbv2.dat,
4. C:\System\Schedules\Schedules.dat,
5. C:\System\Mail\*.*
-> Files to be backed up for SMS and e-mail.
The first sent message list for SMS, the second the received message list for SMS, the third a SMS and email database, the fourth a schedule log for SMS and email.
The last is the store of the actual messages. All files from this folder and it subfolder should be copied to the D drive and directory structure maintained.
Don't forget to BACKUP first to the harddisk using Windows Expl.

after copied the necessary files, change the setting like TheBruce said.
