this method enables you to send a sms from your mobile and choose the number that you want to be displayed on the reciver phone

this is works with the new dct4 phones only...I tried

it on 6100
1-go to messages
2-text msg
3-create email
4-in the place of email address we will write the

number you wish to be displayed on the reciver

phone..you can simply write HIS phone number to make

him crazy :) but note you must start the number by +

symbol
5-now go with the cursor down by pressing on the

"ZERO" 3 times
6-go down again 7 times so the total will be 8 times

by pressing the ZERO as explained in step 5
7-use the special chars and write the followin (@)()
8-press on OK
9-leave the email title empty don't write any thing

in it and press OK
10-Now write your message
11-press options then send Email
12-you will need to enter the email center number

enter the phone number you want to send the message

to it..and OK
thats all..the reciver phone will display the number

you wish and now you can send the message with any

number...

NOTE:I translated this methode from another forum

from Arabic so I hope I did it well and inform me if

it works...

To be honest, the first impulse I have when reading these sort of things is that it is a fake. But then again I'm probably more paranoid than most of you ;).

And I don't have a dct4 phone to test this stuff on :D.

But thanks for checking Salami and Gee :)

I guess this is just a new hoax spreading, but what phone do you use?

I use a 6610... I noticed that both sending and receiving only work for phones that support e-mail. So if u send a so fake message to a an onlder phone that doesn't support e-mail it gets a strange message containing the number you entered as e-mail address and it gets you number too..

As for the two messages i got they were nothing like this as with this u can't really fool somebody for good as thhe title of the sms is the first few words of the message the number being followed by "...". The ones I got had no sender....... Got me wondering...
