View Full Version : How to add new chars to our fonts...

Does anybody knows how to do it? I've tried looking for the end of the FONT's table, but it didn't work...:(

And do you know how to add Bitmaps? I've succesfully added some, but you can't add a lot of them... I've also tried movinf the bitmaps table to another adress, but it didn't work...

why not editing some unused chars instead??

Yes... but I rather want to do it perfect, well I've just asked it, if nobody can, well let it be... But IF somebody knows it, I would know how!

Which table? - there are 4 - a main table and 3 sub tables.
There's a pretty good description (well, as good as it gets!) in the docs section HERE (http://nokiafree.org/docs/font_tut.html) , although it's definitely not for the faint hearted!

With the bitmaps question, you did move the address pointers as well, didn't you? (1 per gfx... or is it 2 :))

yes you can add a char to your font.
but its quite a hard way. check the link from jeep and you will see.

i bet that you will need more than 4 hours when you do it manually.

i have tried to manipulate the width of one char.
then i had to recalculate the whole table.
i worked 4 hours. 12 cheat of papers full of notices.
that was too much. i canceled...
