shortening midi making ringtone

I am looking for some freeware that can shorten long midi files in order to make ringtones. Does anybody know of any software out there?

Seems to be simple but tricky. Spent the whole yesterday and still coundn't get one.

i use PSM Player to cut midis. It can open other poly formats too such as MMF. btw, the author has made it freeware, enter '186' for the registration password.
