can i unlock using only a flasher cable?

No you need a data cable and Eeprom Tools to unlock m8.

Why would you want to unlock with a flasher cable, possibly damaging the phone, when you can to it with just a simple f/m bus one?

Dark flasher uses a similar interface to the highly acclaimed dejan flasher.This method was used to unlock via full flashing before f/mbus software became available.

Why you would want to use a dejan flasher to unlock, when you can do it easily and faster with eeprom tools or KNOK.

Also as the previous post implies you CAN damage your phone, but risk is low, but still there.

For ease, use a com port for unlocking and LPT for flashing.
Or you can buy a CLIP which is easier still.

my problem is i already have a flasher cable and some data cables. my data cable is not universal -i cannot change the tips. and i only have no data cable for 5190. but since my flasher is universal -changeable tips, im trying to unlock my 5190 with my flasher cable.

thanks anyway for the help.
