Hi all,

I hope someone can help me out.
I've got a 3310 version 5.13 and somehow I managed
to turn this phone into a dead one.
this happened before and in garanty time it was repared.
however, the year is over and no garanty anymore.
does anyone know how to repair this one.
I've got a Mbus and a Fbus cable.

pls mail me: [email protected]

You will need to obtain a flasher cable, and software.

Possibly the flash memory is weak?

Hi DeanRSturbo,

I have a flash cable and software, I can flash the phone, but
the phone remains dead
can't even turn the phone on.

If you can flash it, it's not dead - just acting dead, so the processor core is working. I'm assuming you did the flash properly, with a good file, and updated the FAID, as per the hundreds of threads in this forum?

Try reading the flash back out and comparing the file you get with the file in the download section of this site. EEPROMTOOLS may be able to read the fault (with a data cable).

As the same fault was repaired before, look for rework fingerprints - non-original solder joints, date codes on chips etc. as this can give a clue if it was a hardware problem last time :D

update FAID man using noktool by rolis v1.9 build 2.

connect using mbus cable and press FAID on the upper right corner even if phone is dead. it will turn your phone on!

theres something wrong with your flash file man!

download chkfixer. search the threads here. check your flash file with this before flashing to your phone.

I suggest downloading the flash files from Nfree since they probably won't be corrupt. Even if they aren't the version you want, just download them and get the phone working.

Once you've done that, take a full backup and keep that safe. Then go and get the versions you want.

i've been modifying flash files for quite some time and one problem i encounter is "contact service". and i noticed that this would happen when i try to import fonts using ppmedit v1.0a

bobl was right. download the original flash files from the downloads area. keep a backup and then edit/modify what you want. and try to modify it one a time -ie ringtones first flash it to your phone, if it works, then edit the bitmaps, flash to your phone if it works, the fonts........etc. that way youll know where you get wrong in modifying your flash file. but as ive said always start from a fresh flash file.
