MMC card probs

I tried formatting my mmc via pc suite and it locked up, so when i closed it down, the 9210 also locked up, after rebooting both i ended up with a "corrupted/unformatted Memory card"

Any idea how to fix this?
If i try to format via the standard file manager it crashes.

Problem solved if anyone cares, simple solution of closing the cover of the pda section while formatting to maximise stability
