i compared codes to working codes i already have for my fone. the second digit is always -1 from the working codes i have.
e.g. if the code 987654321987654 then the code i have is 997654321987654.
i hope you understand my explanation. are your codes tested and working???

If you read past posts you would already know the answer to your question. The search button is located top right corner.
You must have a v1 calculator dongle, where you must take 1 from the second digit to make it v2 codes.
The difference between v1 and v2 codes is that only v2 codes will work on some of the newer phones.
v2 codes will also work on all of the older phones too, so its best just to use v2 codes only.

@Yotamz
it's written in english, you may not have the font required by the program
the title bar of the program says DCT4 Calculator by CYBERDOG & HOLLOWMAN v1.1
i guess they forgot to update the title since this is 1.2
and those shown in red says by CYBERDOG and Hollowman 2003
@Cyberdog
I hope you don't mind, but i modified your program a bit. Your program required the files to be extracted in the C:\DCT4 directory. I modified it so that it can be executed in any directory... of course it has to have the file Joszo's DCT4.EXE (originally named dct4nck.exe but the required name in cyberdog's proggy is dct4.exe) in the same directory.
I re-attached the path-fixed program.
Hope this helps.

That one works exactly the same as the one at the top.
It still produces the Path\File access error dialog too.
I've put the manual input one, which doesnt produce any errors, in a little self installer with the instructions and stuff.
It wont let me upload the .exe so i've put the installer in a .zip file

Run-time error '5':
Invalid procedure call or argument

@wwanthony
Its ok its got a nice and simple shell :) but still requires the files to be at C:\dct4
The modified file i attached works ok if you have it running at a writtable drive meaning from a hard disk or from a removable but writtable drive like floppy and zipdisks. It will produce Path/File access error 75 if it is runned from a cdrom drive or a file called calc.bat exists in the same directory with the attributes of read-only.
The program stills executes the file dct4.exe which should be at the same directory as the program. After clicking on Calculate the program will then create a file called calc.bat and also creates a process called calc based from dct4.exe then the calc.bat will then execute internally along with the necessary parameters.
Please note that the msvbvm60.dll must be in the windows\system or system32 (for win2ka nd xp) or in the same directory.
many many thanx for this gift :)

@Vinny
It still produces the Path\File access error '75'
But it happens when I click Calculate, then the dialog box pops up then dissapears - but no codes are shown. Then Ii click calculate again and it shows the code. But sometimes I have to click calculate three times, with the dialog box popping up and dissapearing on the first two times.
I am using Win ME with the program in a folder on my desktop.
The files in that folder are:
dct4 calculator 1.2.exe
DCt4.exe
Provider.txt
and I have checked that MSVBVM60.DLL is on my system.
Do you have any ideas why I am getting these errors?
I really want to use this one too as its got the best interface.

I agree. Since you managed to get it working in your Desktop folder then the pathbug in the program is fixed.
hmmm a dialog box that says runtime error but disappears by itself? no ok button?
kindly elaborate further.
I've used the modified file on win2k and win98 with no problem. Havent tested it with xp and me though.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
I have a few little programs running and I think one of them automaticaly clicks OK for me on the dialog boxes, so thats probably why it shows then dissapears.
I cant really elaborate any further then I have done above :(
Is there a certain folder that it has to be in or another file that should be there or something?
Its strange how it sometimes works with no error, it seems like its completely random.

Guys,
To Vinny_xel and all users:
The software haven't got a c:\DCT4 bug!!!
This directory was only for examle.
You can copy the software in all directorys and it works always.
No modified software needed!!!
I can built in all but I need some source codes for built a new version!!!
I would built in a MBus reader for reading the Providercode but it's only possible if I have a source.
This software is written in Visual Basic.
Cyberdog
Ah ok. Sorry for the mistake.... I modified your file to suite the "calc" and calc.bat process to be created in the same directory as it is executed....
I was having problems with it since I created my Windows File System without any Drive C, hence, the calc and calc.bat can't be created on a non-existent drive. May i suggest that the calc and calc.bat be created in %TEMP% instead?
I tested it again substituting one of my drives as drive c and yes, it does work well.
Again sorry for the mistake.
Thanks and more power!

@CYBERDOG & HOLLWOMAN
Would be great if you could update your software to accept extended MNC (for Fido and debitel unlocking)
only if you have time of course :)
