you mean .mp3 to .lse?
try Another Audio Manager (http://www.aam.prv.pl/) or Better Audio Manager (http://haystack.customer.netspace.net.au/) :D

thanx for links but no i mean mp3 to aac
nokia 5510 supports two formats MP3 and AAC wich is someway i thinkg MP4 and its size is smaller than MP3
the only way i know to save to aac is to convert audio cd to lse wich is encoded as aac
Thanx

The MP3 and AAC are two different compression format. It's the same case as ZIP and ARJ. How to convert between ZIP and ARJ? There doesn't exist direct way, you should make it via original file (1. unzip 2.arj or 1.unarj 2.zip).
For us the original file is WAV. So first you must unpack MP3 to WAV (using e.g. LAME), second create AAC (e.g. Psytel codec).
Moreover, I did a kind of software (Nokia Audio Loader) that can execute this conversion in batch mode. Also you can put your source mp3 -files on nokia 5510 in format AAC (of course LSE) directly.
Soft is located at http://nokia5510.tk

well, actually 5510 doesn't support straight mp3.
but there are aac encoders and decoders etc.
but don't convert .lse to .mp3 or .aac, convert from cd or .wav, it will sound much better.

Having a good compressed mp3 ("good" - I mean with quality, hi bitrate, frequency, good source etc.) you can decompress it using 'LAME' with 'decode' parameter, and after launch 'aacenc' (aka PsyTel) with -br 64 resample -32000. As result it'll be an aac file 64kbps which on nokia5510 with its squalid headset sounds good like mp3 128kbps!
Of course there is a diference if play on PC. But for nokia it's enough, IMHO.
Resume:
You can hold your mp3 collection on pc untouched. And as required convert it to AAC for nokia. This took a some time but as bonus the space on nokia will be doubled!
With Nokia Audio Loader you can do it! Are supported MP3,WAV,AAC, Audio CD,AU,VOC,M3U,PLS file formats, and on nokia can be stored in MP3 or AAC player format (+ light LSE conversion by Roel Derickx)
(Sorry for persistent publicity of NAL:) )

i meant that if somebody has in bad format and want to convert to good format, better convert from original, not from bad.
so if you have .mp3 as the original (eg. 320kbps etc), and .lse(mp3) as 96kbps and want it to .aac, don't convert from .lse but from .mp3.
haven't tried nal yet. will try someday.
btw, 64kbps .lse is enough for bicycling. it sounds bad on high frequencies, but you can't hear if you're bicycling fast enough (wind buzzing in the ears).

i don't know why, another audio manager 1.1 doesn't read 22khz mp3.
does anyone have an older version? 1.0 or 0.9
:) tks

thanx all
i have tried these softwares but i got a question
what is the benefit of aac.
i thought it is something like wma wich is smaller that mp3 with same quality.
but i found if i convert mp3 to mp3 (32kbps) not diffrence with converting mp3 to aac(32kps) their size is same.
so what is the benefit of converting to aac?
Thanx
