Hello,
I own an m2bus datacable & would like to "convert" it into a flasher cable, could someone point out which pins from the COM pins should be connected to which pins from the LPT pins ?

I want to use it on my 3310, I already tried connecting looking at the m2bus & flasher schematics with no luck, I connected the GND, TX/RX pins from COM to LPT to the appropriate pins, but I'm not sure about which pin I should connect to the MBUS pin in the LPT port, right now the RTS (COM) pin is connected there, and it's not working.

Thank you,
X[z]X.

First of all thanks for the fast reply.

People told me that there are special "dejan dongles" for sale that transform from COM to LPT so I could use my datacable as a flasher cable, perhaps i'm mistaken since I know little looking at the schematics but it does seem logically possible to me too, why is it not possible ?

com port is com port:D
lpt is lpt
bilding a flasher as leming shows us it is very very very easy
1 74hc14
2k resistor
25 canon male
30 minutes of your time
cost 0.7 us dolars

free software

p.s. that interface it is not a"mbus cable"
only uplloads partial flashes(original and patch) ....very old method of unlocking (by flash only)

you have to cut the cable ans make your own flasher circuit...
the adapter is still usable...
