How to make mp3 as the ringtone??
Does it required any software to convert??

no way u can use mp3 files as ringtones. but u can use wav files instead. so if u realli want a music file as a ringtone, ur best bet is to get a mp3 to wav converter. :)

The wav file is quite big, right??

actually... they arent that big if you convert it using PC Suite for your nokia... then you can set the wav file as your ringtone

1. cut the part of the mp3 which you want to make the ringtone with mp3 track maker
2. convert the part to wav 22.050mhz 8bit mono with audio converter
3. then convert it to wav IMA ADPCM by the same way with audio converter
now send it to your phone
after 2nd step you can use it as a ringtone but at the 3th step your wav file's size reduces to half of the 2nd and no lose of any quality
(you can find these programs from www.download.com and these are the programs just i use. there are so many programs that make these jobs)

Hi dude, just wanna ask how many "mhz" and "bits" should i set the WAV file if i convert it to IMA ADPCM...

I noticed that the WAV convert from MP3 is not very good quality, anyone can help??
Or can anyone tell me which software you are using to do the conversion??

Hi dude, well i use COOL EDIT and the SOUND RECORDER to convert some of my WAVs...

hey ya...u must control and listen to the quailty before u start saving...and also save it to the correct mhz...etc..etc..
