Does anybody know any internet access point here in the philippines so that i can use my phone to browse for html sites??.

if youre on globe, create a new APN, use the settings for GPRS, but change the APN to internet.globe.com.ph and leave all the other settings the same ... instead of the one for wap browsing.. this isnt "free" like wap browsing though.. check the myglobe site for the charges..

if you're on another network i suggest calling tech support..

last i knew, the internet access point is not IN the phone, but with your provider.. the INTERNET ACCESS POINT SETTING is the one in your phone, ace.. :D :D :D ;)

in my case, it is in manila because Globe is my provider and IT IS IN THE PHILIPPINES.. my provider is in manila, therefore it is in manila.. and since its my provider, i must be a subscriber to it! that's why i said IF(since it wasnt stated what the provider is) he/she was also on Globe, that's what he/she should do... and if he/she were in the philippines with another local provider, then that provider would have their access points HERE in the Philippines,RIGHT?? simple enough?

No, the access point you will be using is NOT in your Phone like you said. IF you came here on roaming(which i think you were implying), then it would depend on the arrangements between your provider back home, and their partner here. in the case that you can indeed use the internet access point (due to roaming access), you will be using the access point of your provider's partner HERE in the Philippines. Even in this case, you wouldn't NEED to be a subscriber to the local network, and the access point you would be using would be HERE. im not 100% sure if such arrangements exist, but that's how it would likely be.

No, the access point you will be using is NOT in your Phone like you said.
