how to find out what symbion version is used ??

hi all

if i understand right - the 3650 uses symbion OS

how to find out what version is used and how to update the OS pls ??

does complete FIRMWARE update also include OS ?? or NOT ???

some simple questions TODAY to a local service center resulted in questionmarks as a result of zero knowledge about OS version in use and how to do things ...


all that is offered here in a few service centers is an update of a few applications in use by the 3650 ... that's all ( and new ringtones , etc ... ;-) )

7650 is symbian 6.0, 3650 is 6.01, not much diff, as u can see.

u cant upgrade the os in the fone, if u do tt, u need to change alot of other things, like ram on board and stuff.

but we refer to 3650 and 7650 (and 6600) as series 60 fones (at least, in my place.), so tt means, u can onli send stuff between series 60 fones, not series 40/30.

3300 isnt symbian OS

well, the onli symbian fones, are 3650, 7650 right now.

to be released are N-cage and 6600. nokia 6600 is symbian os 7.0, but stuff from 6.0 can be installed too.

as 4 N_cage, im not so sure wat version, but it has radio, mp3, mmc, juz short of a camera.

yes , you can make a software upgrade , in a nokia center they can actualize you firmaware revison , no shure about the OS , but the firmaware , usualy brings new stuff , features , suport to another MMc's ,and so
