I just unlocked my 7650 using codes provided by a nice bloke on here. I had trouble with it at first but on the third attempt sorted it using the first (of 7) code provided. The problem i have is that there still appears to be a lock of some kind on my phone. It was originally locked to Orange (UK). It works fine with an orange sim card but when I put my Vodaphone sim card in, the signal shows full strength. But if I go to ring anyone on it, it just goes Beep Beep Beep (number unobtainable) same applies if you try to ring it. It will send and recieve texts fine though. If I put my o2 sim in, it won't get a signal at all (I've tried 3 of them now). So what i was wondering was do I have to enter all 7 of the unlock codes, and if so do you get 5 attempts at each one or is it just 5 attempts full stop, as I've already had two "Code Errors" and don't want to end up locking the phone entirely. My other sim free 7650 works fine with all the sim cards, so it isn't a sim card fault. Do I go put the other 6 unlock codes in. (i already tried the 7th one and got code error)

It sounds like all your attempts are up to unlock this phone.
You only get five attemps to do it and that is it. Sounds like this phone code be barred on some of the networks. The "beep beep beep" noise you here means the phone is restricted from being used on that network.....
Should you still need to unlock this phone then you should try using a wired solution....
Check these forums for details....

hi m8, the fone is not barred on ANY N/W. i wonder if somebody might be able to explain how I have unlocked the the wrong lock?
i supplied the eimi and got the unlock codes. i eventually inputted a code that unlocked the SIM restrictions HOWEVER now i only get network on o" for a few seconds before it dissappears altogether.....
what you are referring to is the three beeps with vodafone..... this is because i get full reception with voda but when and ONLY when i try to make a call i get the three beeps the suggest 'network not available'
can anyone help??? thanks to all who have replied so far.... it;s thanx to you thjat ppl are experiancing consumer rights in this country. they should NOT lock the damn things in the 1st place:(

Oh dear, how drunk was I last night (I don't remember replying to that post haha) and my spelling sucks hahahahaha. Anyway, back to the main point etc. The phone cannot be barred as I know the history of it completely. the contract has literally only just run out and it's never been reported lost or stolen, because it's never been lost or stolen. Haha, i can see it getting sold on ebay as a "locked to orange phone". I love the darn thing but I'm not sure if i can be arsed with all this farting around. Orange suck, why lock the Fookers in the first place, buggers.
