Hi out there + tks everyone for reading this desperate msg...

I am trying to make my own 3310 modded flash but dont even really now where to start from... Ive got almost every software here and have started on translating one of the downloaded flashes I got from other ppl from english to spanish (I took me more than 8 hours... Ufff!) I did it with Flsedit 04, btw I do not really know if what I dit is ok or not coz I dont really know to continue... how can I get ppm file, how to join it to MCU file, how to get full .fls file, how can I edit+change animated picture to my own, how to add on a startup animated icon, etc...

May you pls pls guide on me?... I only need little little bit help on have things clear since I promise I learn quick...

All for 3310 and or 8210...
Which are the ideal software for each task?
For changing language?
For editing icon/picture fixed and/or animated ones ?
For making own slides/screensavers ?
For edditing/adding on menus and/or submenus ?
For edditing/adding ringtones and/or startup tones?
Any guide/know-how/step by step tuto around ?

Unfortunately there are none or very few spanish modded flashes around and Id like helping the community on developing some in spanish...now that Ive got time enough...

A thousand thanks for your orientation/ideas/help on my desire.

Very best to everyone.

A sound advise:

The best thing to do is..RESEARCH.

Since you post like you really wanna do the things you mentioned, do researches by digging up past threads, there are lots of info around all you need is study them.

You see, a big project like that you are trying to do wont convince those who knew to spend time doing tutorials on your (or anybody's) behalf since there are lots and lots of threads already discussing these issues.

Besides, those features you want are "sharewares" by others. They just wont "teach" you for free for what they give as "shareware".

And also, each of the talented "researchers" have their own specialty or two. Like I do tones, others do bitmaps and menus, while others do language changing and others do pictures and slideshows, while still others do flashing, phone repairs, etc.

So the fisrt best thing to do is research. Then support those shareware programs. Now based on your researches, do some analysing and observations. Do experiments and trials and errors. You wont hurt your DCT3 phones once you know the basic flashing methods.

And since DCT3 modifying is as common as unlocking, I suggest you spend your effort on DCT4's because by the time you finish acquiring all the knowledge about DCT3's your information is no longer relevant, either for hobby or income generation.

Well, let's face it, these things you really wanna learns rocks your world but to others they're just things of the past.

It's like spending long nights and days phreaking those analogue phones how to place some free calls then finding out GSM are taking over making analogue phone jurassic which nobody wants to use anymore.

I have put together a few tutorials on the basics in the Foum FAQ! Read them, get used to flashing and updating, then you can start patching the files!

As for your 8 hours work on translating, if you had of researched you would have found out that PPM pack C for 3310 already has spanish +T9! And for future developments, 8210 PPM pack A has spanish and spanish T9! ;)

No offense mate but you were asking for help, from anybody actually and that includes me, so I gave you one.

And FYI, I aint changing my nick/alias. And I'm not expecting to receive finding/proggies from you if that is your attitude. However, you might be expecting findings/proggies from people like me. In fact, you might be refering to one of them findings that came from me, either downloaded from somewhere or posted by me. Remember, programming takes a lot of patience and determination. Lots and lots of patience and determination actually.

When I started in GSM programming, I started by researching, digging up past theads, downloading references, studying them myself. Once you've proven yourself, don't be surprised if some people like Knok/Tibor, Rolis, BPH&Co, or even Ice Draagon himself would help you out someday.

What I'm telling you is based on experience, and almost all people who became successful in this field had undergone these hardship. You don't know how many sleepless nights Knok/Tibor had spent his time until he perfected his software. Or even Viper BJK who spent most of his freetime doing trial and errors studying the DCT3 flashfiles. Did you think Dejan Kaljevic just posted some "send me" messages and came up with the Dejan Flasher?

And don't be intimidated by such advises, nor you'd intimidate those who gave such advises. Just weigh them and keep an open mind.

And also, don't stick to just one forum if you want to learn a lot. Join other forums, even MIRCs. Dig up past threads. Most of them have search features, use it to your own advantage. Use search engines like Google if you have to.

Remember knowledge is power. That's why life is really full of secrets. It won't be challenging and worth living if it aint.

I couldn't have said it better myself. :) Though Ice Draagon's Status is newbie, his not new in the GSM world. He is well known and I for one, consider him as a PRO. Though we seldom post, it doesn't mean that we don't know anything. I myself have learned through research and through posts and replies. Joining forums would help a lot. I don't want to make any argument, its just that you did ask for help

May you pls pls guide on me?... I only need little little bit help on have things clear since I promise I learn quick...

and addressed it to everyone

Hi out there + tks everyone for reading this desperate msg...

And you did get a reply coming from Ice Draagon and chunkhead... So don't you think its kinda rude and harsh to suddenly shove off those people who's giving you advise...

It's true that what you we're asking for has already been discussed and could easily be accessed by using the search option within the forum.

Don't be discouraged or offended if you get a reply in a form of an advise. We are all helping each other out here and not all of us have the time to dig up old threads and topics just to post them as links.

More power to everyone.
