ok had a water damaged 3310 in, cleaned it up using chunkheads method (cheers chunkhead), powered it up no problem, phone was ok for an hour or so, decided to up date the software as it was an early version, flashed it like ive flashed so many phones before without problems, went to turn it on ...........nothing, it will allow me to reflash full flash, mcu+ppm, virgin eeprom etc, etc, etc no problems , but it will just not power on normally, i.e. leds on, screen on, display, there is just nothing, ....kinda sdtrange as it will flash normally but when i turn it on, its as if the aint workin, no leds, no display.... also tryed another lcd from a workin phone, not workin, and swapped about, same results, any help would be appreciated cheers

Download a new flash! Try the ones in the download section! You can use my Rolis guide in the Forum FAQ to show you how to make a full flash! It's probably just bad software! Did you make a backup of the working one?

Glad the method worked for you! I use it for all hardware problems! You'd be very surprised with the results! As for the dead phone... I'm at a loss, it won't turn on, but will flash!? Try dip it again! Might still be a little rusty! Leave it in the meths overnight though!:(

It is like a power problem....try to reheat CCONT /I guess Your battery is full when You flash the phone..try to pull the charger in when You asked to power on the unit/....Try a test with Eeprom tools 4.0/4.1/ may be it will give You a point where to start!

I had this problem with an early 3310.
I updated the firmware with 5.57, No joy!!
I had to get a working flash from another phone, as the backup was shite too. Worked ok.
Now using the phone as a guinea pig for modified flashes.Currently using a modded flash (3315) with no problems what so ever.
Just try to get a working flash from the same version you have/had.
