Hi :)
If it is a "Rom-6" model, then it CAN be flashed to a 2100. But you also need to change the LCD to that of a 2100. I have attached a picture that shows how to connect that LCD to the PCB of the 8250, it is the same with your 8210 (if it is a Rom-6!)
regards....

hi Everyone

I wondered if you have 8210 rom-6 then when you press *#0000# does it display nsm-3d or nsm-3 on the last line?

maybe I'm under wrong topic but I would just like to know that is it possible to find out if it is 8210 rom-5 or rom-6 without connecting it to pc and checking with some program.

thanks

An 8210 is NSM-3, an 8250 is NSM-3D.

If you can enable Net Monitor on the 8210, if the hardware build is 2100 or above (screen #89), then it's a ROM6.

I am guessing here, but if you have an 8210Rom6, and buy a 2100 screen, you'll have to solder it manually? No nice simple connectors? :)

im sure a nice cheap and cheerful ribbon cable should do the job. I remember as a kid, i salvaged a nice copper one from a printer (v flat). Keyboards have some flat ones aswell, but i cant solder them (they just melt) :(
