5130 strange logo behaviour... @Boeboe, please

Dear Boeboe, i made this an extra thread where i could actually have asked you in the other one, about the modded flash file. But this is a different thing, i hope you can help me.
Just yesterday i commented on your 1.60 version, i mentioned "... my nice operator logo...". Well, in the evening i tried to get exactly hat logo on exactly that phone. No go!
Situation: Old 5130, relatively new network (Orange Thailand, network codes 520 99). The phone displays that same logo correctly when i used it for "Hello" and "D-TAC" networks, because both of them are "supported" by the phone, i.e. they show up in it's network list when i do a network manual search.
Now, "Orange" comes up as "TH 99" but still, it displays "Orange" on the display. I guess that this word "Orange" is stored in the SIM and the phone uses it as "logo" instead of displaying "TH 99" all the time. Therefor, it overrides my own logo.
Is there any way i can stop this? I want the phone to show TH 99 and then put my own logo in there.
BTW i uploaded the logo by cable (Logo Manager), the phone beeped but the logo didn't show. I then sent it to that phone by SMS, it showed "Operator logo received" and also showed the logo, but after "save" it didn't show on the display. I tried the same with Logo Express, same result. The network settings were correct, 520 99. When i put in the D-TAC SIM, it showed "WP 1800" (older name of that network), so the "old version" of that logo, made for that network, was indeed replaced by the new one. After his, i tried to download the logo FROM the phone with Logo manager, which worked perfectly, giving me my logo with 520 99, everything correct.
Can you help me with this? I want my logo on Orange, as i only use Orange in that phone now :)

I never had this problem, but I think I have some idea's...

What firmware does your 5130 have? 5.71? => Press *#0000#

Did you buy your phone seperate? Or did you buy it in a packet?
Phone -> Simcard-> ... (Was the Orange logo or D-TAC printed on your phone's cover?) You can see, if it's an Orange or D-TAC phone this way: Power-off your phone -> Power on -> Enter Pin -> OK -> Now, if you see Orange or D-TAC as welcome text, you have an Ornage or D-TAC phone...

Please look at it, and reply about the firmaware, and if it's an Orange OR D-TAC phone.

I have the exact same problem on a 5130 I bought from the UK.

It was on Orange UK, and I can't even add the name and code for my operator - "724 31", Oi.

Everytime I tried, with every possible program, Checksums wouldn't be updated (nothing would change).

So I get 'Contact Service' everytime I try this!

if you have 5130 version 5.61, you can edit it just like 5110.... test my attached file!

Thanks a lot for replying! I have just "remotely" got the software (by calling my BF and he checked for me). It is a 05.61 version.
The phone is neither Orange nor D-TAC, it was SIM-free, never been locked.
I think the problem is that this phone is older than the network, Orange operates in Thailand only since early 2001 and this phone is, i think, from 1999. When i do a manual network search, it comes up with

Hello (520 18) (now GSM 1800)
WP 1800 (520 23) (now D-TAC)
TH 99 (520 99) (Orange)

When i clear the logo and insert my GSM 1800 SIM, it displays "Hello", when i insert the D-TAC, it displays "WP 1800" and when i put in the Orange, it does NOT display "TH 99" but "Orange".
Setting a logo to 520 18 displays this logo with GSM 1800, setting it to 520 23 displays it with D-TAC and setting it to 520 99 displays - nothing. I guess that Orange saved this "Orange" on the SIM in order to make users of old phones aware that they are using Orange, and in turn made it impossible to use personal logos on such older phones. A 8250 did NOT do this, it displayed (correctly!) "TH 99" and accepted a personal logo. But AFTER this test, it then showed "Orange" instead of "TH 99" when cleared the logo. Is it possible that newer phones (well, not sooo new ones, but like a 8250 v3.16) do automatically update their database when a SIM of a new network is inserted? I also had this on another 8250 from Singapore, for some reason it didn't recognise AIS (520 01) and showed "TH 01" but only untill the SIM was removed and re-inserted, it then came up with "TH AIS GSM" as it should.
Also there is no welcome message when i power up my 5130. But it is SURE that this phone wasn't bundled with any SIM. See that phone on my website,

amongs others, there it has the D-TAC SIM inside and shows the logo correctly. I want that same logo working for 520 99 (Orange). Can i maybe put in the network by modding the flash?? Just erase one, say, 520 18, and replace it with 520 99? The phone should then accept the logo, right?
Please help me... i want my nice logo back...........

Think before you post, you cannot flash a 5130's eep, unless via special programmer, and if ya flash new eeprom, Orange will just write their name AGAIN in the eep.

Sorry for not replying long time... i almost forgot this thread!
I am downloading that file right now, but the problem i have is that i can not flash a phone myself, i have no flashing equipment and no money to get some. I have to bring the phone to a Shop and have them flash it for me, which i also need to pay for. I did that once but the file, a beta version, contained errors and now i sit here with a phone that i can't use anymore (it resets as soon as the lights go off - bug in the "fading" mod i guess) and i love that flashfile so much that i wish to wait for a new version of it, bug free, before i have to pay again to get the phone flashed, as i am in deep financial trouble and really can't afford to lose any more.
Anyway, the "Logo" problem wasn't solved, even that flash i use now (well, as long as i keep the phone busy, i.e. lights "on", it works perfectly) contains my network (Orange) the logo STILL is replaced by the "Orange" provider name. It seems like they have it stored in the SIM and it overrides any logo.
Anyway... Idicdican, which features does your mod include? I would like to have the ringtones from that file i am using now, inverted LCD, changed font (looks SUPERB!), changed graphics, G3nolite network bar (ROCKS the universe!!) and 7 battery bars (or at least "look-alikes". Fading LED's would be nice, too :) And it's got to work with a rom-4 phone (coz mine is a rom-4) and be BUG FREE because trial-and-error testing cost money for me.... i can't afford it.

Why don't you go to your operator and say that your sim is broken? They will and MUST provide you a SIM for free. Works for me every time, go now 4 new SIM's...

This Is Thailand... yes, i get a new SIM for free, IF i can prove that the old one is damaged. I have to bring it back, and since it IS NOT damaged, i won't get a new one.
I can also say that i've lost it or it got stolen, both cases i get a new one for free as well. BUT i need a police report for that, which means spending 2-3 hours at a police station and paying 250 Baht for the report. A new SIM cost 400 and holds that same amount credit on it (it's a pre-paid SIM).
But after all i can live without logo....... Even the word "Orange" looks nice with those changed fonts and inverted screen :)
I have a different problem with that phone now, but i'm gonna make that a new thread....

Back-up the SIM with LogoManager and scratch it very good, so it won't work...:) Now they HAVE tho give U one....
