having problems with * key

:confused: i need some advice on how this "press the * key twice in two seconds" when i press it twice nothing happens.
i have a 3510i on t-mobile-uk. HELP PLZ

It should change the * to + when typing a phone number. Doing it when writing a message with the dictionary on will do nothing - pressing # twice here (quickly) turns the dictionary on/off.

Don't know the 3510i personally, but what exactly are you trying to do?

i am trying to unlock my phone and when i press # then try to press * the * key does not do anything

To unlock your phone (Have you read the Forum FAQ) you will need to input the code as follows:

#pw+CODE+X#

Turn the phone off, remove simcard, turn phone on! Then slowly key in the code as above, where "CODE" is the code you were given by the generator! You get the P by pressing * 3 times and the w by pressing it 4! Do it fast, dont wait for 2 seconds!;)

if you mean no disply the*in lcd you need to open you phone and clean your phone bourd and keybourd becouse sume oxid make disconict between bourd and keybourd
