Hey, nobody seems to beable to answer this question for me. I have a nokia 2260, but it appears that theres not too much information about it online. im trying to figure out if its a DCT3, DCT4... and if its even able to be unlocked. The most information about this phone that i could figure out is its TDMA... thats about it. No message boards even have a section for this phone :P Any help anyone can give will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all in advance

this phone is vary old right? before 5110? if so - it's probably DCT2.

unlocking = making the phone accept any simcard.
your phone is TDMA, so it doesn't have simcard, what would be the point in unlocking it?

ok, sorry, my mistake.. i thought it was one of the old models..

anyway, i've never heard of it, but i would say that it's dct3, according to the specifications (no java support, no color screen, no polyphonic ringtones).

it's very much like 3320..

I would agree it does look like a mutated 3310

going of the size and shape a 3310 data lead would be the one to try

try unlocking it with DCT 3 solutions like eeprom tools that way atleast that way you won't damage it

read my previous post..
it's tdma, tdma phones don't have simcards, so there is no point in unlocking it..

for cable i believe it will be the one used in 3320/3360.. not sure though..

Didn't know that,

So TDMA is it like analogue phones used to be, connected to the network via a ESN / IMEI and the mobile number both of which are programed in the the phone

TDMA is digital.. but about the ESN (tdma's don't have imei) etc, you're right.

Hi,
I have been reading your chat about 2260. Yes, it is a fairly new phone (3-4 mo. old) and there is not a lot of data about it. This is a TDMA model only, and I think is their loaner phone, or the one you get it for free...any way, I have got one, and I was wondering if there are any codes, or ways to change the ESN without a cable (I guess not).
Thnak you. :)
