My own calculator, no shell (that does not need my DCT4Calc.exe or Jozso's DCT4NCK.EXE) is still in development, although it has already all the features of yours.

Good work. But why calculation so slow?
Try to dump output from console (console windows with calculated codes) to buffer and you wouldn´t need to create codes.txt which needs time. This can be done with CreateProcess
API...

and what about codes
I found diferent versions of it

this version will not yet support your network probably but the next one will
in the meantime just post your codes on this forum

i advise this not because there is a problem with the program its just that the updated codes list is not in this version
and as u are at&t which this will affect its a safer option for u right now

When I am doing without card it said
insert card all the time
I typed half f***ng code and it said insert card and I had to type it again so I never finish
can I do it with the card inside will it kill the card or something ?

for all i know u could be using the wrong codes
if u have entered less than 5 codes and are still worried to post your imei you will have to send me your imei via pm
and i will calculate for you
if u dont want to do this then im affriad your abit stuffed as we cannot see what u are entering to tell you if its right or wrong

u get 5 tries to enter the codes
after 5 tries u can never unlock the phone via remote codes

software version is *#5190#

but why you need software version to unlock - DON'T partial flashing - you DON'T need that, just use datacable and free software like eeprom tools 3.1 or rolis tools 1.8/1.9

5190 was originally worked with fido I m planing to unlock it
and use it insted of nok 8390
and wise versa chip from fido use on nok 8390

I guess I should start my posts with that
but originally I just wanted to unlock my 8390 to go to diverent provider other then at&T ( don't like service )

I entered 1st number but didn't work and then I realised that
it was my mistake i didn't enter it right
then I didn't took any chances entered last code #7
my phone gave me
all restrictions off ,

OK, i checked your preview, but explain me something:
why is dongle v2 recommended?
Check this example:
i calculate codes for 8390 with dongle v1 and dongle v2 and it gives me different codes, but do both codes unlock my phone? and griffin unlocks the phone too? explain me better please

your software preview looks good, but if you make drop down list working, when you select USA country, you will not need to select "United States Network" again.
Do yo understand?
make it pre-defined when the country is selected and delete options for usa/austria/french/hungury/netherlands/portugal

oh, one more thing: update your provider list to portugal:
26801;Vodafone/Yorn;Portugal
26803;Optimus;Portugal
26806;TMN;Portugal
believe me, this way providers.txt will be 100% in portugal, all you have to do is rename networks. all mcc+mnc codes remain the same

Put providers.txt in your server and give me the link. i'm working on auto-update already.

first can u get over the having to press the calculate button twice
i just cannot make it one press not matter what

v2 codes are supposed to be better for newer phone
though i have yet to really see if this is a fact or not

yes you are right about select from the dropdown and not the tick boxes

1 i havent even implimented that part yet
every suggested code is code 7 at the moment

2 im not sure how to go about it i thought it would be easier and faster on the program to do it that way

in your smartcalc, you should let only one country checked (usa, austria, french, hungury, netherlands or portugal) since network code is unique and cannot be on 2 countries

to resolve your problem of need to double-click on calculate button, try to insert this line just before executing dct4.bat:

Kill "codes.txt"

i guess your problem is that it gives previous code that was saved in codes.txt. only on second click it shows the real code, since on first click the program updated codes.txt.

you put dct4/5 phones... does dct5 exist? what phones are on this type?

is 7250 also a ASIC Type 5?

I will make drop down list inside the program code, so it won't be able to auto-update... It´s the only way i find to resolve this problem...

By the way, if anyone can help me making a drodownlist with countries and another dropdownlist with networks that search for names in operators.txt, i would be glad.





i checked better your program.
i guess your really problem is that codes are being shown before it's really calculated. put the line that execute dct4.bat at the beggining od command1_click (replace command1 with the name of your calculate button)

i´m sure that's the problem. if you understand what i said, you will be able to fix your bug...

if it works, forget the what i said about line

ok problems split into parts

on 2nd
u have options for 7650/3650/6600/ngage
other dct4/5
and then u have 3510i/3530 dongle v2
u dont need the last part really just calc v2 codes always

on 3rd
you should have debitel denmark 3510i not uk
fido is all dct4 mobiles use that not just 3510i

apart from that seems ok will test again when that is corrected

Your version of RICHTX32.OCX may be outdated. Make sure you are using the version of the control that was provided with your application."

Now, I unzipped all the files into one folder and am using Windows2k Pro. I tried reading the Readme for a resolution but had no luck! Could you explain what is wrong? Thanks in advanced.

copy TABCTL32.OCX and RICHTX32.OCX to your system folder

open a dos prompt (click on Start > Run and put command.com)

enter as follow:

cd \
cd windows maybe winnt
cd system32 maybe system
regsvr32.exe tabctl32.ocx
regsvr32.exe richtx32.ocx
exit



try to run the program Crux_DCT4Calc_099b.exe
it should be ok now

I inserted first of they and the phone say that it was unlocked.

I try to make a call with the new sim and i get a voice message that says that this option is not available.

i have two cuestions.

1.- I need to insert the 7 calculated codes or only first?

2.- I insert Spain - Retevision Movil Amena - 21403 that is who sell my the phone but i want to use Spain - Telefonica Moviles Movistar - 21407. I have inserted the 21403 is this correct?

did you ever used it?

maybe you have to activate it

make a call to your network provider and say you want to activate your new sim.

it never worked in any phone, then. right?

V1 codes only work on the older phones but there's no need to use v1. Just use v2 and you cant go wrong..................

Im sorry, but I don't like your calc at all... horrible GUI and how is your's up to date? Just today the new version of SmartDCT4Calc is out... this supports the NGage on Virgin!

Now I have a poblem :-?

When I used the code, everything was fine for about 30 mins. I put in a PAYG O2 card and it worked.

Now it is showing no signal, I switch on and get full reception on O2-UK but after a few seconds the signal switches off. The card works fine on another phone :-?

Also if I select manual network selection the phone finds O2 everytime.

Whats gone wrong ???

I tried reentering the unlock code but the phone says it is already unrestricted

The phone wasnt barred, I have had it from new and just got a new one so I wanted it unlocked.

The procedure seemed to work ok, after the first attempt it said the phone is now unrestricted ( or something like that )
