Just sent of my 9210i to get it flashed to the latest software version (v6.0), nokia said it would take 5 working days!!!! boohoo!!!

Back to good old 7110 it is for me :-)

Also I would like to thank the following people for making my communicator a much better device, and helping me out with any problems, and making this forum a DAMN good one :-)

Out of interest, why do you need to upgrade the firmware? Mine's on v5.34 and from the list of stuff added in v6.0 today I don't have a reason to upgrade.
Also, what are they charging for it?

Im just one of those guys that HAS TO HAVE the latest software version wether it is of any use to me or not LOL, I know sad isnt it!!!

My upgrade is free because my fone is less than a year old. If your fone is still under warrenty Nokia will upgrade it for free!. Over a year and they may charge you. My friend got charged 20 quid for his 9210

Its not just version 6.0, theres version 5.34 then theres 5.54 then 6.

Theres a fair few changes between 5.34 and 5.54 u know

Realised v5.54 was about after I sent my post. Any idea what that fixes?
No idea exact age of my phone as bought second-hand, but I'd assume less than a year old - just can't prove it!
Now wouldn't it be nice if Nokia had a firmware version that added predictive text - I'd happily pay for that!

Ahh. Let me know if it "feels" better next week when you have it back - I may upgrade mine. Is there a Nokia website to find your nearest Nokia service centre to perform this? (Never seen one).
