Hi,
I searched a bit but only found one topic with info about this.
Is it possible to do everything needed with a 4 pin cable?
If so, what is the difference between 4 and 6 pin?
If not, same question :)
thanks in advance.

Mate, I ain't seen a 3210, so I am a little confused. I have a flash and data cable with PS/2 ends, with four sets of connecters. One of them is a 3210.
Now, that one has four pins on it, I guess that is what this topic is about, does that mean it will not function at all with the flasher cable?
I looked at the pin outs pic (Ty), so I guess for flashing you need the BTEMP and VPP ...I.E. You require a 6 pin PS/2 Head (If one exists)...
That's right? But why do you need those to flash a 3210, when the 33xx series with four pins flashes fine? :(
What a shame, I wanted to flash a friend's 3210 :(
Cheers

Hi,
4 pins is enough.
Flashing, mbus/fbus.

Then why were we given 6?
Ty NokDoc, I thought so.
Chunkhead, you said you recieved the same kit as me? I only got a four pin connector.
I can't see any use for a six pin connector, the sockets it connects to are a bit useless :).
(Take a look at sergio's 2nd attachment)

Thanks for all the help,
chunkhead: so I can safely order the cable set from m-99 without wondering if it's a 4 or 6 pin?
will do that this weekend then.
still wondering what the other 2 cables are used for though
I have a datacable for the 3210 which has 6 pins...
bizarre :)

BTemp and VPP are used for auto-powering on the 3210.
I have a 6 heads flasher cable and when I flash the 3210, rolis says, power on shortly, the mobile powers on by itself.
Pretty stupid feature, sometimes, it powers up when I contact the cable with the 3210 or when I start my computer.
@The Wiep
The M99 set is four pin, since I have it :), M99 were no probs for me :)
