help with 9210

Hello ppl, just registered here and have a problem with my 9210. I've not used it for about 6 months and I have just put the sim card back in. However, I am getting no reception at all.

Its a vodaphone Sim, and works fine in all other phones with full reception.

It doesn't say the sim card is missing, and I can access all the info on the card, but just get no reception.

Does it need to be unlocked? Seen alot of people talking about this but not sure what it is.

Also can I use it with a T-mobile Sim or do I need to unlock it?

What network is the fone on originally?

If the fone is originally on voda then it should already be unlocked, try putting in another sim and c if u get reception.

As for the no reception bit, sorry I've got no idea.

Will a t-mobile sim work with it? (If I get the no reception thing sorted out.)

hmmm, any network sim should with, voda dont lock their fone to their network.

A t-mobile should work, try it, then again so should voda and cellnet. You might have a hardware fault with the commy. But try the t-mobile first.

Try a manual seach of the networks as well, guess it's version 4.13 (check by press *#0000#) if lower get an upgrade, short of that it's a strip down and rebuild, has it had any damage done to it while it was not being used?
