3510i Start Up Logo Problem

I am having problems with my start up logo. I cannot assign an image to be the start up logo. When I do and start up the phone again. The screen turn blank and that is it no picture I have chosen showing. Do any one knows how to solve it.

I have also got a couple of questions to ask:

Is it free to upgrade the firmware of my mobile again as I upgraded my mobile from a 3.41 to 4.01.

What is the hidden menu that I have been hearing about in the firmware 4.01. Thanks

i get this start up logo problem too, its propa gay

there is no logo and no sound....
and then the phone don't make any sound until a couple of time...

I had this problem with my wifes phone when i was messing about with a data cable


I seemed to loose all the tunes and logos in the phone

what i did was replace it with these two files

you will probably need a data cable or a way of uploading them



and the ringtone

once i uploaded these it seemed to go back to normal

That is not what is my problem. The problem is that when I assigned an image to be the start up logo. When I restart the phone there is no image. It is just blank. So I would like a solution to this annoying problem. If I used the orignal Nokia image, there is no problem, it just the other images.

so what program are you using to change this ??

what folder are you putting them in

what format are the images gif, jpeg ???

etc etc etc

I am using two software. Oxygen Manager 2.1 (Build 3) and MobiMB 1.2.5.

What folder do you mean. I have many folders in Gallery on my phone.

The formats are jpgs and gifs.

One reason why u may be losing all ur tones and logos is if you are using a warez version of mobi mb - for some reason when u e.g. refresh or load up new tones/pics it deletes them for no reason - better off getting the real version, otherwise just disconnect the cable (from the pc, and before you close mobi mb) once uve loaded ur data and it shd b alrite-not perfect, but thats wat happens with warez :)!

If u want to upgrade ur firmware u need a program (& flasher cable) such as phoenix - free to download but u need a pkd1 dongle in order to run it - which aint free (there are other options e.g. griffin box, but are more expensive). There are some "supposed" cracked versions of phoenix-just search this forum, that dont need this dongle, but many people dont have much luck for it.

I tried your solution and still does not work. I used the old version of MobiMB and it was not a warez. I am not having problems with missing images or tones.

The problem is that the image that I assigned it to be the image that I see when the phone is loaded up. All I see is a bloody blank screen and no image.

I am sorry if this post seemed a bit harsh but I am fed up with this problem. I never had this problem before until I upgraded the software on my mob.

Any help you can give me I will be grateful.

Check that the images are displayed correctly on the fone normally (in the gallery), but i think that the problem may be ur software version, check this:

i think that there is a problem with software versions v.4.01 (ur one) and v4.42-u may want to get ur fone upgraded to v4.44 - where did u last get it upgraded, u have 2 send it back to nokia??

The images are display correctly and I have no problems assigning a image to be a wallpaper.

I updated my software in June and took 2 weeks for me to get it back. I went to the Carphone Warehouse.

Is it still free to upgrade the firmware again? My phone is still under warranty. I got it this year in March.

Also will 4.44 solve the GPRS bug i.e. Please insert SIM Card. That is why I upgraded in the first place and also to get rid of the white line underneath.

I assume that it would be free for another upgrade - but dont take my word for it :)!

Not sure if the upgrade will solve the problems, ive got the old software n cant b arst to send it in for two weeks, but is likely to fix ur fone as that is why upgrades are created, otherwise jus ask carphone warehouse - say ur fone aint doing wat it is supposed to n they shd help ya out!!
