Hi,

I have a Nokia 3310 which says 'Sim card not accepted' with every Sim Card you put in. I've been told it needs flashing, so bought a dual M/F Bus cable etc.

Went to the FAQ on flashing followed the instructions but it didnt work. The software wont connect to the phone. I have tried it with just the battery and also with the power plugged in and it still wont work!

I'm a bit of a newbie at this so please dont yell at me! Somebody please take pity and help! BTW... Im using WIN XP PRO.

What I'd like to know is, have you installed Userport Windows Xp will not run with out it. I refuse to use WinZip ( it let me down really badly once) so i can't upload it here. but it can be found by searching for userport.zip. Probably in the download section these days to.

Good luck.

you problem is you are trying to flash with a data cable! You need a flasher cable to flash, and data cable to set values such as faid, sp locks and imei. good luck.

This problem does not sound like your phone needs flashing, more a case of all simlocks are closed.

With your M/Bus cable, run eeprom tools (download section) and reset SP locks.

If you cannot find it, I will post here.

There seems little point in flashing this phone, as it will be more complex, and you are new to this.

Lets keep it simple.... try unlocking it first!
