nokia's 7250 bug

My 7250 kept on switching off and now it wont switch on at all..

I'm told this is a common problem with the earlier firmware on these fones?

ive never flashed a nokia, ( i have with other brands) is it easy to do?
im going to buy a data cable 2day to see if i can do it..

ive got the 3.14 flashes but i cant find a program to flash it with..
can someone help me find these ?
