BIIIIGGGG QUESTION!!! PLEASE HELP!!!
o.k. guys
I have flashed my phone using rolis 4.78 to 3315 with
ppm file :nhm5ny05.47b and mcu file: nhm5ny05.470 to software version 5.47

that was no problem, but when turning it on to recalculate the faid with knok it says contact service !!

knok (and even eeprom tool) wouldn´t respond, although I get a respond of being connected correctly using my logomanager or even Nokia Tool by Jordik v3.21.

switching to m-bus or f-bus will connect also....so what have I done wrong....and PLEASE HELP me....

oh by the way I´m using Win2k!! but got the correct user port program to get rolis running alright!!!

5-WEN PROMPTED TURN PHONE ON(IT WILL REMAIN OFF BUT FLASHIN WILL START)
6-WEN FINISHED DISCONNECT FROM FLASH CABLE AND CONNECT TO MBUS CABLE.

du kannst nicht einfach einen Winteslaflash draufflashen - den musst du vorher mit wt2dejan umwandeln.

saug einfach die nötigen Files von nokia.sno.at und du wirst keine Probleme haben!

You cannot simply Flash a Wintesla file - you have to convert it first with wt2dejan.

Simply download the required files from nokia.sno.at and you will not suffer any problem.

yeah NokDoc, you're absolutely right, I shouldn't speak German on the boards (at least without translating it ;).

you're right, it's possible to flash Wintesla flashes directly, but not every flasher is capable of doing it so I'd recommend to use raw flashfiles.

ich weiß nicht ganz auf was du hinauswillst - wann meinst du muss man immer IMEI ändern?

du musst nur IMEI ändern wenn du einen VirginEEPROM verwendest oder den EEPROMBereich eines anderen Handys (weil da klarerweise nicht deine und damit die für dich richtige IMEI eingetragen ist).

außerdem: wo wäre das Problem wenn man IMEI ändern müsste? ist nun genauso leicht wie entsperren, FAIDberechnen etc.

also alles in allem glaube ich du verdrehst da was.

weil Version 4.06 is echt zum kotzen.
Is das in höheren Versionen auch noch so, dass wenn man SMS mit sagen wir mal mehr als 400 Zeichen schreibt, er am Ende kaum noch hinterherkommt die Buchstaben anzuzeigen? Ich bin beim Tippen schon 3 Buchstaben weiter und der weiß immernoch nicht, welchen Buchstaben er halt an der Stelle 400 oder so anzeigen soll.... voll lahmarschig.

hm, k.A. wie das mit SMS ist...
aber: hast du nur ein Datenkabel?
kein Flasherkabel (parallel-Port, LPT unter Windows)?
weil mit Datenkabel kannst du nur EEPROMInhalte manipulieren - wenn du eine andere Firmware draufspielen willst, brauchst du ein Flasherkabel.

zu deiner Frage ob das Probleme macht mit Autoswitch: generell: nein. ist nur das Problem dass einige Proggies von reinen MBUS Kabeln ausgehen und da ist es mit der Stromversorgung etwas anders - deshalb wirst du mit manchen Programmen Probleme haben.
aber die aktuellsten für soetwas (Rolis mbus tools 1.8, Jordik's tool, knok) kommen mit Autoswitchkabeln klar.

Rolis 4.77 will flash wintelsa files so use this, it is by far the easiest way of flashing.

Flash the files, then use Knok to update the faid. Now you have 3310 with newer firmware. If you want the extra features, you have to activate them. People have explained how to do this, but if i tell you, now you will still ask... change product profile bit 30 to 1 and you will have activated them.

Hi guys I finally understood...

probably that´s the reason for "contact-service!"
I need to flash a "full-flash"

to obtain that I need to create one by renaming the ppm and mcu files to .fls files using wt2dejan.exe than making shorter names with dos-command prompt.

than joining these ppm and mcu .fls-files with the correct eeprom file......Correct?!!

than I should get a full working 3310 (3315) immediately after flashing??

and after that no messing around with eeprom tools necessary any more??!! guess so....

I guess that´s the whole idea about all of it.....´cause flashing back my old 3310 full-flash-backup to my phone worked alright.
this was necessary since my first flash with mcu and ppm files using rolis was incomplete, right??!!

o.k. I just need only the answer if my last solution would work:
:) I got the mcu and ppm files (3310mcu555.zip and 3310ppm555.zip)
:) I join them (as explained above) with the epr-file 3315_3D0000.zip from Brad´s Site (http://www.gsmunlock.sk/members/bRAd)
:) I get one full-flash file with size of 2.097.152 Bytes
:) I flash this to my fone with rolis 4.77 or (4.78)
:) I am done and have a full functioning 3315 instead of a 3310

guys, only last question, does it matter which epr.-file I use?? Brad´s Site (http://www.gsmunlock.sk/members/bRAd) offers a 3310 AND a 3315 epr. file???

I dont know how many times I have to say this but there is no need to mess about converting flash files and joining them and renaming them etc etc etc etc etc

Load Rolis, load in the SEPARATE WINTELSA FILES LIKE THIS THIS SCREEN SHOT

And press the FLASH button at the right of the window.

This will flash the phone correct and will NOT go over any EEPROM data. This WILL NOT create CONTACT SERVICE.

Then to get the extra features, change product profile bit 30 to 1 or use the modified version of Knok with the feature added in.

The above method saves time converting and joining and chopping 4 bits off here and there and works!

So I HAVE to do it another way, right!!

the files you are using musnt be good files then.

try these, these are the same files i used and didnt cause CONTACT SERVICE, they are wintesla files.

Its v5.55 PPM O which is the Orange English pack.

They are in original Wintelsa format.
they flash perfectly with Rolis, if they dont for you, perhaps phone or cable is at fault.

and you need USER PORT to run the software on Win2k/WinXP
