I seem to have a problem with my Nokia 7210 infrared connection. It seems that using Nokia PC Suite 5.1 it tries to transfer an image, but pops up an error saying transfer failed. The Nokia Phone Browser does not shows the content of my phone either, and I hardly managed to use Content Copier to make a copy of my content (after trying about 10 times...). The Connection Manager shows the phone as on-line on the IR link, and I configured the speed of the connection on the PC to 19200 bps. I use Windows 2000 Server, SP4 (by the way on the Nokia site they recommend installing a certain patch for the IR port, but it seems it does not install on a SP4, only SP1 I think).
I managed with Mobile Manager to upload to the phone some pictures, but this program fails to transfer larger pictures/tones/games as well (it starts sending, the bar showing the advance starts advancing, at some moment stops, shows an error and is loosing the connection... have to take away the phone wait a while and replace it in front of the computer infrared port, restart the Mobile Manager in order to have the connection back).
Anyone can help me in solving this problem?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Rumburak

I finally managed to solve to above problem... It seems that when using a laptop on-board infrared device, you have to configure it from the BIOS as a SIR (Serial InfraRed) and not FIR (Fast InfraRed). The first one allocates a virtual serial port for the IRDA, while the second one does not, resulting in huge communication problem ...
All working fine now, in Windows Me and Windows 2000 as well...
