How to activate ALS on you 92XX

You need the following tools
Nokia Profile (attached to this post)
M/Fbus Cable for 92XX

Connect your fone to your pc using the cable.
Load nkprofile
Nkprofile should pick up your fone.
Tick the button that says ALS
Press restart

ALS stand for Alternative Line Service
Here in the UK you can have two numbers assigned to your sim card, say one for personal use and one for business. You switch between the two number by pressing and keeping hold of the # key on telephone side. (as far as I know only orange support this but i could be wrong)

From the PDA side
load telephone
menu
settings
advanced
Line selection
You can now change the line from primary to alternative.

Also you now get an extra option on the front of the fone.
Menu
Settings
Call settings
scroll to the bottom, there is now an extra option called Line for outgoing calls.

There is no REAL use of this function just an extra trick for your commy.

Line 2 is only for Orange phones in the UK.
