Installed Smart Mem today, noticed memory figure was down to 1.8mb. Rebooted, went to about 3.3mb. Just watched it over about 5 minutes gradually drop to 2.7m and still going down.
What's using it, and how do I prevent it??

No, no progs opened.
Will have a look for memory reclaim.
Also, what can I use to defrag the MMC (and cracked :) )

u need a usb mmc reader for the pc.

this is the 1 I have

http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X3Jldmlld3M=&product_uid=45253

u put your mmc into it and windows recognises it as a removable disk like a zip drive and lets u defrag it :-)

Ahh, as simple as that. Have a combined smartmedia/cf/mmc reader already I use with my digicams so will give it a go.

i have 2.92 mb ram free with the following loaded

messaging 232K
extras 72K
telephone 192K
office 52K
contacts 156K
desk 56K

i generally kill office when I've finished with it.

Thing is u can get lots of memory leaks after loading programs and some programs still leave dlls and stuff loaded in memory after uve closed them, thats why u have 2 defrag/compact/reclaim memory back.

i use appman to compact memory
