I downloaded the driver from here (http://www.nokia.com/cda1/0,1080,5027,00.html) , but i have no idea how install it?

Can anyone help?:)

I used that same Nokia URL as you did.
Just download the file, right click it and choose Install. That should do it.

What IRDA device have you got? Is it a Vishay one? Are you just using it for downloading pics and tones to your phone?

how odd, i didnt need 2 install any infrared software, just the nokia pc suite, then turn on infrared on the mobile and put it next 2 the little infrared bit on my laptop

I actually want to connect to the internet via my phone and my laptops built in irda, i can connect but only at 9.6kbps, and i know GPRS is faster than this as my 8310 used to connect at 28.8kbps

Done that thanks, but still no luck, 7210 does not appear in "Nokia Modem options" control panel, and in "Network and dial-up connections" i only have 8310 and 8250 irda modems (which i have used before on my other phones)

Im at a loss now
