Some month´s ago I´ve buyed a 1150mAh Accu at Ebay. Charging this Accu in my 7650 the standby time is 3-4 days (nights the phone is switched off). Now i charge the accu in an old 8210, using the same charger. The standby time is much longer, about 5-6 days.
I test it 2-3 times and everytime i charge in 8210 the standby time is much longer than charging in 7650.

Ist the charging algorithm in the 8210 firmware better than those in 7650?

Doesn't necessary mean it's better.
There is a little voltage sensor inside every phone, if it reaches a certain voltage level it stops charging... The 8210 probably has its level just a few millivolts higher which translates into a number of hours more power.

This sounds very kewl, but be carefull, you could be putting too much stress on the battery and it may break (or have the "memory effect") sooner then expected...

BTW: it's bullshit that lithium batteries do not get the memory effect as NiCd do... they just tend to get it later... maybe a year... maybe more, but all get the damn effect after a while.
