3510i turns off when typing an SMS

My girlfriend told me last night that her 3510i frequently turns off when she's in the middle of typing text messages on it. I originally thought it was a similar problem to my old 6210 (needed firmware update), but it doesnt reboot like the 6210 did... it just turns off and stays off.

I've searched on google for anything that may give me an idea to whats going wrong with it, but didnt find anything at all. It's still under the original 1yr warranty with Carphone Warehouse (I have the 3yr accidental damage insurance on it also).

Any ideas?

hiya sounds to me like a software fault if it is only when she is typing an sms, as you say a lot of phones rest in sms, but switching of completely ive never heard of, but i would try an update the software and see how that goes, the 3510i should also still be under guarentee as they havent been around 12 months yet, a company called fonefix do most of the nokia service repairs where i live not sure about you, find your nearest repair centre at www.fonefix.com,
