Why does Appman use CTRL-SPACE as a task switcher when the CTRL key and the SPACE key is needed to select items for file manipulation?

And : a dull gripe...but the 9210i really is far too slow and lacking in memory to be used as a practical tool - especially to those who are used to the 9110i.

Things like TomTom are great but RealOne Player can't play things easily due to memory constraints and having to create so many contact databases because the phone can't cope with more than a hundred in the default telephone book (without a 5 second wait) is quite absurd.

what was Nokia thinking?

Is it more of a machine to play Civ on than to communicate?

ahem... you CAN change the keys u know, instead of ctrl+space i use ctrl+tab :D

tru..the 9210 does seem slower when compared the 9110 but u have 2 take into consideration the os, the os is MUCH better but in return more resource consuming, swings and roundabouts mate thats all.

But look at what u can do with the 9210 compared to the 9110.

5 second wait!!!!! 5 SECOND WAIT!!!! what u talking bout i got 200 contacts on my 9210 I have NEVER had 2 wait for 5 secs to find a contact most I would say is 3 seconds IF that generally round 1 to 2 seconds.

You do realise that when u search in contacts it looks in last name, first name, company, job title and practically every other field. Thats alot of searching in my opinion, and I think its pretty damn fast, seeing as how it has to search all the fields in all your contacts to find a match.

btw what firmware version is your 9210i?

6.0

Many thanks for the CTRL-SPACE tip (I'm obviously nuts)

and I grant you that it can do more..

It's just that if I have the same number of contacts in, say, a filofax...the filofax is definitely quicker.

I realise that a piece of leather can't connect to a gsm network (obviously)

The best thing is that it has a keyboard rather than one of those plastic pen things.
