Upgrade 7650 with an MMC too?

Hi,

has anybody an Idea whether it could be possible to
upgrade the 7650 with an MMC like the 3650?

Or is the harware so different?

Some i've read a post in another board
that someone is working on a solution for that
or even making big advances...

But i never found this again...

Does someone here knows somthing about that?!?

You can compare both diagramms and you can see where the mmc-card reader is integrated into the 3650.

May be you are a good electronic worker and you find the right connections on 7650, but i think there is no chance to patch the Firmware of your 7650 so that it find the added mmc-card reader.

besides the firmware patch , to make the conections on such delicate PCB's requires special soldering equipment , but maybe if it was possible and if the right conectons where detected and couls be conected , the only obstacle was the firmware.

hmm.......... i just have an idea what if the back cover of the 76 the sliding one which is the keypad be replace with another back cover that has a mmc and then make a new version for 76 that can read a mmc..hope some nokia personnel have an idea bout it.. :cool:

mybe it's is possible to implement the MMC
in the 7650 (without a slot)
There could be enough space...

But i'm not as similar with handy electronics
and programming as i have to to realize that,
so i hope this will be some kind of interesting
to some of da cracks out there...
