G'day folks,

Is there any way to determine if my 8210 is ROM6 without having a datacable? Via serial number etc? I would like to reflash but don't want to fork for the cable if I cannot do the upgrade.

Hi there :)
This works for other phones, too.....
press *#0000#
you see the phone software version.
If the version is (example) v5.50 then it's rom5.
If the version is v05.50 (leading zero) then it's rom6.

That's assuming that it has never been flashed or serviced by Nokia!? And I think Rom6 are v5.27 and above!;)

Well I have done that and it has come up 5.25 with no leading zero, so I assume that's it. Anyway to confirm that 5.27 version?
