I have a nokia 8210 and an F/MBUS cable. Is it possible to use my nokia phone as an infrared device to send data to other phones? For example, I would like to send a logo to a friend of mine using logo manager using My 8210's IR port but Logo manager doesn;t allow it. It only sends via network.

No you can't. If your friend's phone has IR, then you can set your friend's phone up next to your computer's IR and send it via the IR. This is how:

Firstly, in Logo Manager, press "Tools" then "Options". Another screen will come up and in the "Communications" section, press the button that says "Change". Another screen will come up and change the connection type from "Cable" to "Infrared" then press "OK". Now turn the infrared on on your mobile then line the infrared up and press the "Download Image to phone" tool button.

I'm not sure whether you can set both your phone and your friend's phone up with the IR and send info from your phone to your friend's phone.

I'm not quite sure what you mean when you say that you want to send stuff to your friend's phone using Logo Manager and using IR. If your friend's phone has IR, why not set their phone next to your computer's IR (as above). If your friend's phone doesn't have IR then you have to send via network anyway (or cable).

I stand corrected. I found this from a user manual:

"You can:

* Send a graphic via IR. See "Caller groups".

* Copy and print names and numbers from Phone Book. See "Copying and Printing via IR"

* Print a text message on a compatible printer. See "Reading a text message"

* Send a calendar note via IR. See "Calendar"

* Print a calendar note on a compatible printer. See "Calendar"."

I have tried sending a graphic but when I went to "Caller groups" (Names then Caller Groups) there were no graphics in the groups. I'm stumped!!!

Hope this helps a bit
