I just got the Nokia 3650 and I also purchased the Wave Linker USB Dongle. The software that came from Wave Linker allows me to connect to the phone but Nokia PC suite doesn't. I tried different ports to no avail, PC suite just doesn't see my phone. I emailed Nokia 2 days ago and they still haven't got back to me. Now I wish I got an IR port instead

right. I had similar trouble with my mitsumi bluetooth adaptor. What I did was install completely different drivers for it and new software.
Go here:
http://online.communica.se/mpi/filarkiv/
then scroll down to the bottom and download the file called
"USB-100.zip"
Now, completely uninstall your bluetooth adaptor, using "add/remove software" and if it prompts you to, remove your bluetooth adaptor. If it does not, remove it when the uninstallation is complete.
Now all you have to do is install the contents of the file you downloaded. When done, connect your bluetooth adaptor and go to add/ hardware in the control panel. This will search for your bluetooth dongle and select the new set of drivers for it.
You're almost done!
Now that you have it installed, pairyour phone with your pc by going into the bluetooth menu on your phone and pressing "right".
You will need to make a password and enter it on your phone and pc. The password is numerical. When you have successfully paired, go to the next step.
What you now need to do is click the "mRouter" icon in the system tray at the bottom of the screen. Select all available bluetooth ports and click ok.
Now open up the new bluetooth software and "search for devices in range" - making sure bluetooth is on on your phone. It should show up your 3650. Right click on it and select "discover available services".
When you are finsihed, right click on "bluetooth serial port" and "connect".
Now open pc suite when "bluetooth connection successful" appears. When it connects, right click on the mRouter icon again and see which port pc suite is suing. Uncheck all OTHER boxes.

Have you tried clicking mRouter and setting all your ports to ticked? Have you made a serial port connection? Check all the info above. Everything is in there.

Yes everything is done... serial port connection, the ports ticked, the nokia is found, the pc suite synchronises contacts but when i click on the image or file transfer i get an error!
I can still transfer files through normal operations but one by one or my multiple selection.. but using pc suite would be so much easier! Thanks

I'm afraid I can't help you majestic. This is a very strange problem. You mean to say that more Com ports show up in the device manager than in mRouter? This is way too starnge. Do you have the latest POc Suite installed (FROM THE NOKIA WEBSITE?)

Gday sorry to but in, just thought id leave this for others who have puchased the GIGABYTE BLUETOOTH dongle and had no luck getting a fixed communication link with a 3650.
Yeah i was having problems with my Gigabyte Bluetooth dongle and the original installer/software that came with it. So i followed your instructions and got that Anycom software, cheers for that John, it solved my problem. I was getting so frustrated with it... but with that anycom stuff it works excellent, bye bye MA-600 hehe :D

Can not connect to Nokia PC Suite. I have an ambicom Compact Flash BT-Card. There cust. support told me that their software does not support Nokia PC Suite. Can anyone help me find software that will work. I see everyone using the anycom drivers but they are for USB cards not compact flash or is it.
i know this is an old thread already..but i have a question regarding backing up ur fone using pc suite....

Yes, you can do a full restore or choose only to restore your contacts.

hey thanks so much! :)
I talked to some of the customer service...and they said that my fone might be corrupted if i reformat my fone manually. She said i should let a technician do the reformatting
Will i encounter any problem if i do reformat my fone?

well, when u format ur fone, u gotta make sure its fully charged, if it runs out of battery in the middle of formatting, the fone will be corrupted, i tink tts wat she is scared of.
to format ur fone, type *#7370#, enter sec code, and wait for a few minutes.
