Nokia 6310i probs after unlocking...

I thought I'd successfully unlocked my 6310i, which was on Orange in the UK. I want to use it with a Vodafone pay-as-you-go sim card. It seems to accept it, and picks up a signal, but won't let me make or receive calls. BUT - it does allow me to send and receive text messages with the Vodafone sim card. And it works completely fine with an Orange pay-as-you-go card, and also with on O2 card.

Can anyone help??

as some old nokia dct-3 vodafone pay as you go have special configuration, it could be, that this is the reason, that your simcard don't work with your phone.

phone should be ok, if vodafone contract simcard works
