Dear Frends,

I really need help here.

I have a Nokia 3350, 3410, 2100.
All with contact service.

Using the dejan flash cable and rolis, i can make a FUBU from the 3350 and 3410 with no problem.
When in step two i try to flash the phone with a mcu+ppm, i get the following message.

Flash erasing error.
Must recive 91 00 FF, but recived :FF FF FF
Check Vpp, Vbat voltage, phone type...

I dont get this, my phone type is correct, if i can read the flash, the cable must be good.
Please help with this.

regarding the 2100, i can even read the flash.
i only get to the startup prompt from rolis and a error message saying " unknow flash type ....."

I also tried rolis for al of the phones, and i get some strange error

Please help me out here guys

regards

Jerrel

Okay, I'm guessing you're using Rolis 479 for flashing?

Only use Rolis 479 for reading flashes, especially with 3410s

Use Rolis 478b6 for writing flashes to the 3410, same thing goes for the 3350. Rolis 479 is very buggy for writing.

Of course you could just use knok, it's fairly solid but slow. kNok phoenix 1a is probably the best flasher for fixing phones in my opinion, because it's so reliable :)

As for the 2100...well, my suggestion would be to use kNok.

Good luck!

The error you got is usually caused by low battery! Always use the charger to power phone on! The tutorial for both Flashing with Rolis and Contact Service repair are in the Forum FAQ!;)

@chunkhead

I got these error messages even with a full battery, 479 is simply _useless_ for writing to 3410s, but very good at reading :)

I don't use v4.79! v4.78b6 is the business! Has yet to prove a problem (Except the 5210 bug!) :D
