View Full Version : 6210 no signal (have searched prev. posts)

I have a cousin whose 6210 (v5.56) suddenly started to drop signal and it locks up while writing/going to 'messages'....

I have recalculated FAID and have run Eeprom Tools v4.0 - All tests come back 'passed' or not executed - Does this rule out a problem with the Cobba?

If anyone knows how to fix this problem, please let me know!

Re-flash it! It has corrupt software most likely!;)

And if that doesn't work, do a full reset.

Have a look at the .zip file I have attached... this is common problem in some 6210's and the file in the .zip (MS Word Doc) will let you know some steps for fixing...

However could also be the corrupt software, as you also experience the lock up in 'messages' menu...

The fact that it locks up strongly suggests that it is software related! Fingers crossed!;)

Ok,

I made a backup of the 'faulty' flash - when finished Rolis told me that:

Security CHK test ....................... Failed.(readed 0x7F9E, calculated 0x815B)

So i flashed a known-to-be-working 6210 v5.56 flash to the phone, went to noktools 1.9 and did SFR, SP, FAID then put in my sim card and powered on...

1st time: Switched off when pressed 'ok' for pin code.
2nd time: Loaded up ok but still no signal...

Any ideas?
