Hi! I have two 3310, one is converted-to-3315 and one isn't (old-3310).

I made a backup of the flash of the two 3310, then I copied the flash of the converted-to-3315 to the old-3310 using flasher ver 4.77

Then i change the IMEI using noktool ver 1.5b, Clear SPLocks, and Update FAID.

The old-3310 (now converted to 3315) was working ok, but i notice that the ringtone tempo is slow so i repeat the entire process. But the result is still the same.

Anyway, the problem came after a few hours. The two cellphone suddenly became a dead set, i mean, i can't power on or charge the two cellphone.

I tried to put the original flash (the backup) but the result is still the same. (You would ask how i flash since the power on is no longer working, i inserted the charger and it act like a power on)

So now i got two dead cellphone. Any one knows the problem and how to fix it? i really appreciate it.

I'm only puzzled, coz i didn't flash the converted-to-3315 cellphone. I only read it. Why did it suddenly turned dead. Is it because i copy its flash to the other cellphone? (Oh yeah, i think my PC is a bit grounded but i didn't got a problem like this before).

One more thing, the Old-3310 wasn't charging. That's why i tried to upgrade it. maybe it could fix the no-charging problem. But worse of luck, i now have two no-charging and no-power cellphone, and probably dead!

I really appreciate any help or advice. Thanks

Oh yeah, before the two cellphone became dead, the old-3310 which i converted to 3315 was abruptly losing signal. don't know why.

Ok, problem been solved. After trying several reflashing (about 10 or more) the problems been solved (At least the dead set).

But now, my new problem is, if I removed the mbus cable, the two units wont power on. probably, there is a loose connection between the battery and the board, just a guess. Any one got an idea?

One thing more, the old-3310 still doesn't charge. Hardware problem i guess. Anyone knows which part need to be replace or resolder? When i place the charger, it charges for a second or two, then stop.

Hmmm... I think the On-board charge Tips or the Charging Control IC might be causing the problem. I'll try to fix it. Well, any suggestions?

Do you really need our help? Your answering all your own questions!:D
Use my water damage guide in the non charging phone!
http://nokiafree.org/forums/t31337/s.html

For both, get a new flash, from the download section above (3315 v5.57) and use my Flashing tutorials which are in the Forum FAQ!;)

Ok, all the problem has now been solve except for the no-charging problem of the old 3310. I've cleaned the On-board charge Tips, replace the Charging Control IC as well as the Power Supply IC. But the cellphone still doesn't charge. I'm running out of ideas about the possible cause of the problem.

Thanks Master Chunkhead about your advice. Though, i've already read it a couple of times before but i'm a bit hesitant to do it. Well, you know, i'm not experience in soaking PCB (it might cause more damage coz i'm getting lots of bad luck :( this days ) aside from the fact that i dont have any Methylated Spirits.

Anyway, as i said, i've run out of options. I'll be doing Master Chunkhead's water damage guide as soon as i get my hands on a meth. Then i'll post the result.

Well, thanks again for the help.

Well, i've tried the water therapy but it still doesn't charge. Oh well... got no more ideas on how to fix it... i'll just let it as it is... Anyway, i'm a programmer and not a technician.

Anyway, i got a question. if i save the flash file of a 3530, would the sms messages also be save? since it is stored on the CP. And wen i copy the flash file would the sms messages be copied also? (like the picture messages?)

BTW, is there a programmer out there who knows how to communicate/ get data from a cellphone connected to a fbus cable into a computer? I've been trying to solve the codes for quite some time but i haven't figure out how to do it on VB. So if there is anyone who's willing to share the knowledge, please PM me. I'm working on a project which i think is very benificial. I'm willing to share the codes, and if the project booms, i'll even share the profit. Please, don't give me an activex. i need source codes or at least snippets or the logic on how to make it work. (preferably Visual C or Visual Basic).

If still not charging, try a new power block! use the one from the working phone to test it! Also try this technique!
