I have a 3310 and have just changed the screen led's to blue ones. The led's work fine, but my logo does not display and neither does the network, when I try to make a call it says no network coverage.

it seems that that is the only thing I can really do, apart from paying to get it fixed. Does anyone know where I can get a cable from in australia, and more importantly what sort of cable I need. Thanks alot

I don't believe it! I have the exact same problem with my 3310. Did you happen to get the blue lights put in at Parklea markets?
Please let us know if you find a solution to this, I had a whole new 'guts' put in my phone and it still didnt fix the prob. I'll let you know if I happen to find what the prob is - I think it's something to do with the antenna but I dunno what.

Unfortunately, one of the very very common problems with getting your lights's changed is the risk of leaking heat energy with careless soldering. If you heat up one end of the LED for too long, (depending on your soldering iron) it can send heat energy down the copper tracks embedded within the PCB. This is generally the result of amatuer work, and it is a frequent problem. So in other words, if you're soldering and desoldering your own LEDs DO NOT hold it there for too long, because the heat energy will travel and destroy other neighbouring components. Believe me!

As for your no signal problem. I'm sorry, but there could be a million reasons, and what's the bet that it isn't related to software! I'm serious! I myself have a 3310 which is suddenly dead, and I've tried cleaning it with alcohol, pcb cleaner, anti rust liquid (in case its water damage) I even airbrushed the dust out. All to no avail. I've replaced the aerial - to no effect.

Unfortunately in your case, you just modified your lights too, so there's no chance in hell you'll be getting a warranty fix. Hard luck buddy, I know how ya feel. Flick it off in the Trading Post ;D!

Take care,
Kris
