I know that there have been lots of posts about this before but think my problem is a bit different because I cant do anything with my phone. I can't flash the original file back on, I can't delete the flash from it, I can't even read the phone. I have tried different programs but still no luck.
It only said CONTACT SERVICE the first time that I turned it on after flashing it and now just the lights come on.
ANYONE, PLEASE HELP ME
By the way, I have mainly been using knok 95

Are you using Windows XP? If so, try using Userport or Knok XP. Also, try flashing a full backup file. Send me a PM if you still have trouble

Cheers

My "Contact Service" guide is idiot proof! (Well... there's a few idiots out there)! Stick to that and you'll be fine!;)

I have 2 computers, one has xp and one has 98 se.
I have tried both but I was mainly trying to use knok 95 on 98 se (I have flashed phones before using knock 95 on 98 se).
Could you please eather tell me where I can get Userport or attach it (i'll have a look for it anyway.)

Chunkhead,
I tried your "Contact Service" guide but Eeprom Tools v4.0 could not find the phone. No programs that I have can find the phone (Knok 95, Nokia Tool 1.8 by Rolis, Nokia Tool 1.9 by Rolis, Nokia Flasher 4.77 by Rolis, Nokia Flasher 4.79 by Rolis, Nokia FlashTool modified by GSM Brothers.
its really starting to annoy me :(

PLEASE HELP

Go to this thread and download Userport:

http://nokiafree.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=33963

Userport is only useful on XP - not 98, 2000 or the like, ONLY XP.

Yes, I had lots of trouble with eeprom tools reading my phone too, but the cable was fine. Don't know why.

Cheers
:)

I don't have a problem with xp finding phones (Thank you anyway) , Its just my 8210 since I flashed it with a crap flash file.
All it does is the LEDs go on but then you can't turn the phone off and you have for it to turn itself off which takes about 50 seconds(or you can take the battery out)
P.S the LEDs stay on the whole 50 seconds.
WHAT IS WRONG??????
IS MY PHONE STUFFED??????
HELP PLEASE, ANYONE, PLEASE

@ Sandy Boston:

Userport is for NT! Nt system is used in XP because it runs off Win2K! So Win2K also needs Userport! Rolis however doesn't need userport in XP because it was written for XP!

@ bradysarlo

Are you using an Mbus cable in Eeprom tools\Knok95 (Com)! Also in Eeprom tools, uncheck the DTR box!;)

I have tried with an Mbus cable in Eeprom tools and I unchecked the DTR box but it says phone not connected.
What do you need an Mbus cable in knok for.
I have been using knok but I have been using a flasher cable to try and put the original flash file back on.
I cant even delete the flash off the phone, It can't find the phone
I can't do any thing with it, I cant even read it

Take look at the Knok95 guide also in the Forum FAQ! If you still have no luck, maybe your mbus cable doen't work!? Have you tried auto setup (Little bug\beetle) in Noktools 1.9?;)

My Mbus cable definatly works, I have a 8250 that I tested it with.
I tried auto setup in noktools 1.8 and 1.9 and they didn't find the phone (8210)

Can you please post the url with the guide that you where talking about.

Most of the programs that I have been trying know that I'm turning the phone on (The ones that say power on if needed or similar).

Is this helpful???

BTW I realised that the phone does not want to turn on when the charger is in it.
What does this mean???

Two things on my mind: first when You maitanens the phone with Mbus cable it must be on /I guuess You Know this/ second when You are triing to flash it put the charger in the phone when the program says power on shortly...Im not sure that this can help You but in cases like this everything that you can try can be the key to the problem..../BTW clean the contacs on the PCB/
Good luck!

@ Sergo_Zmeia

You beat me to it!

@ bradysarlo

You contacts on the phone are dirty! Clean them with isopropenol or vcr cleaner! Meths will also work! There is sometimes glue over them! Make sure they are well clean! If there is glue, scrape it off with a small screwdriver!;)
