i was modding 3310 flash.
everything was fine.
everything LOOKED to be fine with tools i used to check.
big surprise when flashed: no network. nothing worked.
tried everything, spent 3 hours.

then i started whole project from scratch, but did all in different order and it worked.

what i want to say, please test carefully your modifications before posting them... ppmedit/flsedit/other tools may say flash ok, but phone may not function properly.

all i did was changing ringtones, fonts, texts, pictures, menu text alignment, added fade.. and i backed up every step i did. still flash had errors.

don't believe in programs, believe in phone.

Wow :(!

To avoid that, this is what I do (Probably takes more time):

When I build flashes, I flash at every single modifcation (Or at least major steps).

This may sound time consuming (It isn't THAT bad, a 3.43 meg flash with Rolis w/out having to set FAID doesn't take that long), but it means that you can track down these bugs easily.

Wouldn't DeadFAID been a better solution liteFun, or wasn't that the problem?

Cheers

Just the fact that the FAID and checksums are right doesn't mean you are uploading a valid program. Some flash patches might conflict with each other(or have to be applied in a certain sequence) and produce a garbage firmware..
