I'm sorry if this has been asked before but I'm getting nowhere quick with my 3510i!

Is it possible, like on my 6310i, to set the phone so that delivery reports are permanently delivered when sending SMS messages? I can put RCT in my message but it only works for the message I'm sending and the text I get back contains far too much information.

Thanks for your help!

Yes this is possible!

Go to Messages ->
Message Settings ->
Text Messages ->
Sending Profile ->
Delivery Reports

Your Done!!

Thanks Butterfly but I don't have that as an option.

Under Sending Profile there are only three options:

1. Message Centre Number
2. Default recipient number
3. Use GPRS

No choice for Delivery Reports

(On the 6150i there is the Delivery Report option but not on the 3510i)

That's strange. My phone is a 3510i and I have it on mine under Sending Profile along with the following:

1. Message Centre Number
2. Messages Sent As
3. Message Validity
4. Default Recipient No.
5. Delivery Reports
6. Use GPRS
7. Reply Via Same Centre

What network are you on? Maybe that has something to do with it, although I doubt it. Sorry I can't help you, I hope someone else can! :)

Remember, the phone will hide certain menu options if the network doesn't support it. Some of the menus on my phone are missing, since my network doesn't support them.

Changing network (or possibly a firmware upgrade) is the options.

Cheers

Bob

P.S. Try testing your SIM card in another phone and seeing if it's the network, not the firmware.
