Data cable and 5125 probs

I purchased the data cable shown in this auction. It is not working with my 5125. I tried using LM, some nokia software(data suite?), and Nokia-tdma-service-full all of which say my phone is not responding,
Ive tried all different ports and wasa wondering if i needed to change the port settings in the device manager on Windows XP. What should the settings be for the com port?
Also i noticed my plug only has 3 wires which actually connect to the phone. Its the round, Tx and Rx. Is this the correct setup?

hmmm.... you said you are using Windows XP, you should read this post, and learn how to set your flasher and data cable work on Windows XP
